Float Glass Industries (FGI) supplied most of the interior processed glass for Connect House, a multi-million pound development project in Manchester.
The client had recently completed conversion of the disused Daily Express offices and printworks into a combination of luxury apartments and high-tech office space.
FGI were selected to supply glass for a variety of different applications within Connect House, from spectacular balustrading and partitioning to contemporary shower screens. In addition, 10mm polished edge toughened glass has provided an attractive solution for features such as staircase panels, lift shafts and glazed viewing areas.
FGI's experienced team was also able to advise on technical aspects of the glass specification to ensure relevant building regulations and standards relating to safety and thermal efficiency were met. |
