If we are to believe the glass manufacturers, the ever-expanding range of coated products that they are promoting gives us an opportunity to make more money. In reality it can mean more cost, stock and waste to the typical smaller user. Additionally the profit we can all make by selling coated stock, single toughened or IG units is constrained by the pricing tactics of that particular manufacturer’s downstream activity.
